Topps Heritage has never been issued in minor league form, so this is definitely something new and different. 2011 Topps Heritage Minor League edition has lots to offer collector's, especially those that are Bryce Harper fans. Harper autographs and memorabilia cards highlight this product, and will add to the appeal of this September release.
Each box will consist of twenty-four packs, and this will be a hobby only release. The card design is a replica of the 1962 Topps release. There really will be no dud boxes, as each one is said to contain at least one memorabilia card, two certified autographs, and four parallels that are numbered. Additionally, every fourth pack will contain a All-Star short-print.
The base set is set at 200 cards, and from this base several parallels will exist. Printing plates and a black parallel will be individually numbered out of sixty-two. Red, Blue, and Green Tints are another possible pull, and each will be individually numbered out of 299. Each of these tints are broken up throughout the set, with fifty being available in green, and the other 150 cards being divided up into the red and blue versions.
There will be over thirty different autographs up for grabs, and each will have a parallel version as well. Bryce Harper autographs will be scattered throughout, but will not be easy to pull. In total, there will be a little less than 100 Harper autographs available. Other autographs include Jordan Pacheco, Steve Geltz, Jordan Swagerty, and many more.
Stetson Allie, Christian Colon, Rymer Liriano, and Jason Kipnis are just a few of the players highlights of the memorabilia and relics cards. While players such as Randall Delgado, Jesus Montero, Donvan Tate, and more highlight the All-Star short-prints.
Historically, minor league sets have never been as popular as major league releases. However, the Bryce Harper cards alone will likely make this product and easy sell. The 1962 Topps design, plenty of autographs and memorabilia, as well as numbered cards galore, will be the additional appeal of the first ever Topps Heritage Minor League set.
